On this page I’m going to give you ideas on what might help you in your daily meditations. Meditation is such a great way to clear your head and become revitalized when you are tired or stressed out.
There is actually quite a lot of research that shows the great benefits from meditation and they are both physical and psychological. Meditating regularly for just a short period of time even changes your brain in a highly beneficial way and calms you down. Meditation increases your ability to concentrate and your memory, lowers your blood pressure and helps you sleep better. It also decreases muscel tension, improves athletic performance, slows aging, helps fight infections and lots more.
So when you know all this, don’t you feel the need to start meditating?
It is really easy! You can start by sitting down in a comfortable position with your eyes closed and focus on your breathing. Count to 5 while you breathe in and then to 5 while you breathe out and relax more and more with every breath. Continue for a few minutes before you start moving your fingers an toes and then you open your eyes. See, that wasn’t so difficult was it? This is the easiest way, but then if you want to there are several different techniques and I will try to introduce them to you and give suggestions on books that can help you.
