Memories of the Afterlife – by Michael Newton

Memories of the AfterlifeMemories of the Afterlife is and interesting book by Michael Newton, that tells stories about what happens during the part of our journey when we are inbetween lives, back with source if you will.  By working with hypnotherapists who specialize in past life regressions the clients get a chance to figure out why they have problems in their present lives.

About the book

This is a very interesting book and it gives a lot of food for thought. Michael Newton has gathered stories from several differnet hypnotheraphists from all over the world.  The clients they work with go back to earlier lives and by reliving their deaths they go to the life between lives.  They describe what happens to them in this period inbetween and it is astonishing how similarly these people from around the world tell about their experiences.  The descriptions of meeting with their own groups and how they interact and what they learn is comforting and also in some cases offer an explanation for things that have happened to me or people I know.

My thoughts

Athough this is not a very entertaining book, since it is written in quite a scientific and not very colorful way, it is definitely worth reading. The very thing that it is scientific and matter-of-factly written is in some ways better than if it had been embellished and more novel like, because this gives it a more truthful ring to it.  Everything is depicted as the clients described it, no more, no less and I do think it is a good book that I recommend.
