Did you know that we very often automatically do not see things we are not expecting to see? Even when these things are right in front of us! And that we filter all new information through old beliefs to make it fit into our way of thinking. When we do that we make our thoughts self fulfilling, which is a way of manifesting them. Doesn’t that make you want to change how you think so you can manifest new and more postitive things?
For a very long time I had a problem with things I got or bought that I was really happy about; they broke or got damaged within a very short time after I got them. I don’t know how it started, it probably happened once or twice and that made me form the idea that I was jinxed and that whenever I received and really liked something new, it would get ruined almost immediately and wouldn’t you know it; it happened all the time!
This went on for years until I changed my way of thinking. I guess some of my new things weren’t damaged, but I didn’t notice that; in my mind they all got ruined one way or another. Just because I ‘decided’ that my things would become damaged, and even said it when I got them, what I predicted came true.
It is very common that we predict that things are going to go bad, and so often what we predict comes true. I’m quite sure you recognize this and that it has happened to you too, in one way or another.
If you think about it this is actually good news, because if we can manifest a negative outcome like this, then we can also manifest a positive outcome! If we intentionally decide beforehand that something is going to go extremly well or that whatever new thing we buy or get is going to be perfect, then chances are that it will, and you will get to appreciate your new possession or whatever it is that you manifest, instead of worrying about it.
Practice makes perfect
Changing your thoughts like this takes some practice because the negative thoughts are mostly something we have learned a long time ago and they come automatically as a bad background noice. The best way to notice them is to keep tabs of how you feel, because when you notice that you are feeling sad or anxious, then you know you need to change what you are thinking.
This does not mean that there is something wrong with being angry or sad or whatever low vibration feeling you have. No feelings are bad! They are a perfect way for you to keep track of what you are thinking and gives you the opportunity to elevate your vibration by changing your thoughts.
Feel your feelings, they are okay!
I know changing what your are thinking may be hard and some might feel like they are doing something wrong if they have a hard time finding the happier feelings, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! All feelings are natural and they are there for a reason. At some point they protected us or helped us in some way, it’s just that they get ingrained in our psyche and keep popping up when they shouldn’t. One way that makes it a bit easier is to really feel the anger or the sadness; feel it in your whole body! Feeling the feelings makes them subside easier and that makes it easier to reach a higher vibration and change your thoughts. If you try to escape the feelings, they will hang on a lot longer and keep you down a lot more, so go ahead; feel them away!
